The Envirothon is an annual competition in the spring where students demonstrate their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management. Students compete in teams of five members each. The competition is centered on five tested categories that include the following: soils/land use, aquatic ecology, forestry, wildlife & current environmental issues. Students participating in the UCHS envirothon meet weekly, on Thursdays from 3-4, for training, and occasionally in the field on a few weekends at local and state parks.
